Lenovo Marketing Development Funds (MDF) For MSPs

How do MSP partners get access to your MDFs?

We have a program called Lenovo Boost, and in order to get access to MDF, partners need to be registered to our Boost program and reach different milestones. Lenovo Boost is a credits-based incentive program that uniquely rewards MSP business partners, based on behaviors that feel natural to both of them and support the Lenovo business with the end goal of encouraging standardizing Lenovo into their business models. The Boost program is a partner-level program, not seller-level, meaning what you earn in the program needs to be managed by an admin at your company, and it doesn’t go directly to the sales reps.

Are there any forms they must fill out?

They need to fill out the form to be registered into our Lenovo Boost program.

What can the MSP use the MDF for?

The MDF is calculated in a points system. Partners can redeem points for a lot of things, such as rebates, MDF or marketing needs, business building, tools, trainings, certifications, Lenovo Coupons, “demo” and interna use gear (this refers to the MSP buying Lenovo products for themselves rather than a customer), etc.

What can’t the MSP use the MDF for?

Cash back to the partner.

What is the average/range of funds you give MSPs?

It depends on the products and quantities they sell, but overall, we provide a rebate of 2% to 3%.

Requirements to receive the funds:

The MDF is calculated in a points system. To earn points, you transact with Lenovo and complete approved activities (you don’t have to report your transactions). You submit requests to Lenovo for the ways you want to redeem your points for payment (we have an activity list you can reference). Those activities you do grow your business, which leads you back to the start of the circle, which is transacting/activities.
