Malwarebytes Marketing Development Funds (MDF) For MSPs

How do MSP partners get access to your MDFs?

Malwarebytes has an MDF program as part of our MSP partner program. We work with partners individually to tailor various programs that can qualify for MDF and mutually drive revenue and profitability. MSP partners can gain access to funds by reaching out to their channel account manager. Their CAM will engage the Malwarebytes MSP Marketing Team to apply for MDF and manage the process from setup to payout.

Are there any forms they must fill out?

The channel account manager and marketing liaison will work with each partner’s request and complete our internal request form.

What can the MSP use the MDF for?

The MDF can be used for various activities that drive business growth, such as events, SPIFFs, promotions, sales incentives, marketing programs and more.

What can’t the MSP use the MDF for?

MDF cannot be used for meals, trave expenses, hotel costs or any other non-marketing-related expenses.

What is the average/range of funds you give MSPs?

There is no cap on MDF for MSPs. Funding is tailored to each MSP partner individually, evaluating the activities and return on investment.

Requirements to receive the funds:

MDF is paid upon competition of an activity, so that impact and return can be evaluated and measured. These are generally based on bookings increases, lead creation, signups for demos or other activities that drive growth for our MSP partners and for Malwarebytes, mutually.

Can you give us one or two examples of success stories of MSPs using your MDFs to gain more MRR?

We have a large partner with whom we drive continuous activities, such as Security Roadshows, to drive awareness and sales of Malwarebytes security solutions that are within the partner’s portfolio of offerings. These have included breakfast briefings, webinars, training, and sales events with their sales staff. We also have a partner who has just applied for MDF specifically aimed at increasing sales of Malwarebytes and the adoption of our security solutions among their very large client base. There are a variety of targets laid out, with varying levels of rewards – all based on rewarding individual sales growth, as well as team sales.
