How do MSP partners get access to your MDFs?
In order to qualify for Kaseya MDF, partners must be at least a Gold Tier Partner and/or subscribed to Powered Services Pro to qualify. If qualified, the first step is to set up a call with your Account Manager to walk through an overview of what type of MDF marketing activity you are planning.
This will help us get an understanding of:
- The marketing strategy as a whole
- The amount requested
- Targeted ROI
- Post-activity follow-up strategy
- How Kaseya/Datto can help make this successful
Are there any forms they must fill out?
Yes, they will need to submit a formal MDF request. This form will be provided to the partner by their Account Manager.
What can the MSP use the MDF for?
MSPs can use MDF for a variety of things including webinars, live events (e.g., lunch and learns, breakfast events, expos, sporting events, etc.). customer trainings, digital campaigns (must be in-house marketing and not an outsi agency). swag requests, mailing campaigns, and more.
What can’t the MSP use the MDF for?
MDF can be used lot of marketing activities, but a few things cannot be used for are 3rd party marketing agencies, cold calling agencies, and costs of travel (hotels, flights, etc.).
What is the average/range of funds you give MSPs?

Requirements to receive the funds:
Kaseya’s MDF program works as a reimbursement program. Funds will be received when the activity is completed.
Partners will submit an invoice and W9 to their Account Manager post-activity. Once the invoice is received, partners will be reimbursed via ACH.
We do require a 10 Day Post-Activity Check-In with your Account Manager to talk through:

- Opportunities created
- Walk through reimbursement submission
