Guardz Launches Cyber Insurance Option Through Its Cybersecurity Platform

Guardz announced a cyber insurance offering for SMBs working with its MSP partners that is designed to expedite the eligibility process and make it easier to qualify for a policy. Use of the unified Guardz cybersecurity solution makes an MSP’s SMB customers eligible to purchase a policy, as the solution automatically assesses and monitors the inquiring business’s cyber posture.

Now available across a majority of U.S. states, the cyber insurance policy offers competitive pricing and a coverage limit of up to $3 million, including media content liability, hardware replacement coverage, and ransom payment coverage.

Founded in May of 2022 by Dor Eisner, CEO, and Alon Lavi, CTO, along with a team of cyber and insurance experts, Guardz launched its cybersecurity platform last year. The startup recently announced a strategic partnership with SentinelOne, which includes an investment from S Ventures, SentinelOne’s venture fund.

Guardz joins a number of cybersecurity vendors partnering with cyber liability policy underwriters to streamline the application process and make policies more affordable for MSPs’ SMB customers. Kaseya and Sophos are two examples.

AI-Powered Scam Detection Now Available For GoTo Resolve

GoTo, an IT management, support, and business communications provider, launched an AI-powered scam detection feature for the GoTo Resolve remote support platform. The feature, included in all tiers of GoTo Resolve, analyzes support sessions on mobile devices in real time to detect and alert users of any potentially fraudulent activity.

Remote support scams often involve fraudsters posing as tech support staff and initiating a remote support connection. Using custom trained AI, GoTo Resolve scam detection actively monitors for key behaviors and phrases associated with these incidents. If the solution detects any of these, it automatically ends the session, alerts the end user, and makes it easy to report the suspected fraud with one click. In the coming months, GoTo plans to extend these protections to desktop connections.

Barracuda’s Partner Portal Gets An AI Assistant

Barracuda Networks has added an AI assistant to its partner portal that will help MSP partners look for information about Barracuda solutions, the Barracuda Partner Success Program (which launched in December of 2023), and resources available in the portal. Partners can also use Barracuda AI Assistant to get their product questions answered in real time, 24/7.

The AI-assisted tool references Barracuda course materials, such as the Partner Program Guide, sales playbooks, product data sheets, e-books, and more, and then provides detailed answers and lists the source of the information.
