New Research From Ivanti Finds Security And IT Data Silos Increase Risk And Lower Productivity

Data silos are a security and productivity problem, according to Ivanti’s recently released 2024 Cybersecurity Report. The report builds on earlier research that found that “52% of IT and security professionals say security data and IT data are siloed inside their organizations. Of those, 84% say silos have a negative impact on security, and 82% say silos drive down productivity.”

The 2024 Cybersecurity Report

The 2024 Cybersecurity Report indicates that silos are an even bigger issue than previously thought. Of the 7,300 executive leaders, office workers, and IT and cybersecurity professionals surveyed, “63% report that siloed data slows down security response times, 54% report that siloed data weakens their organization’s security posture, and 41% struggle to collaboratively manage cybersecurity.”

The report also indicates that 95% of IT and security professionals are concerned that the continued development of AI will make security threats more dangerous. “However, despite the elevated risk posed by AI, nearly one in three security and IT professionals have no documented strategy in place to address generative AI risks,” the report states. The report comes on the heels of Kaseya’s 2024 MSP Benchmark Report and concurs with their findings that cybersecurity is still the most pressing issue for MSPs.

Ivanti has built their platform around supporting what they call Everywhere Work. Michelle Hodges, SVP of Ivanti’s Global Channels and Alliances, says, “The Ivanti platform is powered by Ivanti Neurons—a cloud-scale, intelligent hyperautomation layer that enables proactive healing and user-friendly security across the organization.” The Ivanti Neurons suite includes products such as Ivanti Neurons for Digital Experience, Discovery, Edge Intelligence, Healing, and iPaaS.

The Tech Alliance Marketplace

In other news, Ivanti recently launched its new Tech Alliance Marketplace. Ivanti designed the marketplace to restructure how partners and customers interact with Ivanti’s system. It allows users to manage, edit, and submit their own solution listings and explore a comprehensive selection of the connectors, integrations, and add-ons Ivanti offers. In future phases, the marketplace will expand to include partner services, the partner portal, account mapping, and more.

The Tech Alliance Marketplace is available to Ivanti’s Ivanti One partners.

Ivanti offers several partner programs, including their Ivanti One partner program, their reseller partner program, and Telco partner program. “Key tenants of the program entail: usage-based monthly billing, MSP special pricing, a wide range of Ivanti Solutions, access to online or live learning, and low minimum license requirements,” says Hodges.

Ivanti Neurons For EASM

Finally, Ivanti announced their newest product, Ivanti Neurons for External Attack Surface management (EASM), in April at the Solutions Summit in Dallas, Texas (pictured at top). Hodges describes this new offering as “a crucial component of a comprehensive cyber asset attack surface management (CAASM) solution” and is part of Ivanti’s goal of providing a tailor-made platform for CIOs and CISOs.

Moving forward, Ivanti is focusing on security and innovation. They will be revamping their core engineering, security, and vulnerability management practices and continuing to design products with secure by design methodology. In the near future, they will also be finalizing partnerships with key cyberdefense agencies.
