4 Must-Watch YouTubers For All MSPs

YouTube is more of a university than you may realize. From podcast clips to lectures, to fail videos to news—over 1 BILLION HOURS of YouTube videos are watched every day. And if you’ve ever had a plumbing issue or tried to figure out the best way to cut a vent soffit in your roof (not speaking from personal experience or anything), you probably know what an encyclopedic bastion of knowledge the modern Tube can be.

More fun than a corporate “continuing education” course, and as current as the cable TV news ticker, SyncroMSP reports that 57% of MSPs watch business-related YouTube videos daily or weekly and a total of 79% watch YouTube videos at least once a month.

Here are four of the best, most engaging and informative YouTube channels that YOU as a small business owner and MSP can and should be watching. Some you may know—others, you can add to the “Watch Later” list!

Readers, prepare your clicking thumbs:

  1. MSP Radio: With almost 21,000 subscribers and a wealthy library of over 900 videos, host Dave Sobel—who also runs the Business of Tech website—covers the most relevant current events in the world of IT, Cyber and MSP.

The best part? Dave’s videos are usually less than 10 minutes long, easily digestible, and current, with uploads daily!

  2. NetworkChuck: One of the most popular YouTube channels in the space with over 3.3 million subscribers, Chuck Keith’s channel is a perfect blend of entertaining and informative. “Keith has a knack for breaking down complex topics and explaining them in a way that even complete novices understand,” says Make Use Of.

Keith’s topics range from ethical hacking, to why virtual machines matter, to Linux tips…to why your home router sucks! His channel is endlessly fun, and on an even more directly informative front, Keith also runs NetworkChuck Academy.

  3. JackRhysider: Let’s go dark. But not really. YouTuber Jack Rhysider—who also runs the Dark Net Diaries—is one of the most unique cybersecurity channels on the internet. His videos have a graphic novel-like cinematography, and with topics like “Point this at anyone’s phone to hack it”, Rhysider has a fascinating take on what he calls “true stories from the dark side of the internet.”

  4. Robin Robins TMT: We’d be remiss if we didn’t mention our own founder, and with over 500 videos on all things MSP Marketing, how could we ignore it?! As a leader in the technology marketing space, Robin Robins and TMT have been teaching MSPs how to understand and expand their business for years.

With interviews ranging from celebrities like The Wolf of Wall Street, Mike Rowe, and the Sharks of Shark Tank—to practical videos on affecting the bottom line and hiring the right salespeople, Robins’ YouTube is a trove of value for all MSPs and small business owners.

With that, we wish you happy learning, and as always, the best of success.
