AI is evolving at lightning speed—and so are the tools built on it. In just the past 12-18 months, the landscape has shifted dramatically: New tools have emerged, some have quietly disappeared, and the ones that stuck around have leveled up with powerful new features. Whether you’re creating content, automating tasks, or exploring new ways to engage your audience, the right AI tool can make all the difference.
Here are the AI tools I’m loving right now—and why they deserve a spot in your workflow.
Hedra
Hedra incorporates video and audio together to generate short videos. For instance, you can upload an image of someone and have them speak in their own voice. It’s ideal for creating social posts and other marketing materials, but one of the best uses I’ve seen for this is to create an AI version of yourself who introduces you onstage before a speaking slot. If you don’t have a big sizzle reel or don’t like talking about yourself, this can be a great alternative.
Canva Pro
The free version of Canva is great, but Canva Pro has some awesome AI features for image and video creation. At only $14 a month, it’s extremely cheap for all the functionalities it offers. For example, the background tools can remove or generate different images. A great trick to do with this is to swap the backgrounds of photos of your team for the different niches you serve, such as a medical office or manufacturing warehouse.
There’s also the magic expand tool, which can be helpful if the image you were planning on using is cropped too tightly. The magic eraser tool can erase unwanted people or objects in the photo and use AI to fill in the now-empty space, the same way it’s able to expand images.
Gemini
Gemini Veo 3.1, released recently, can generate videos based on text prompts. These 3-to-15-second videos are ideal for social posts. You can tailor them to your ideal prospect and create them in minutes. Unlimited generations cost about $30 a month, but you also get several daily generations for free. Not only do these videos look incredibly realistic, but they also have flow; you can make a scene, and then sequential scenes to follow.
Claude AI
Claude produces great quality long-form content for blogs and even books. I used Claude to generate a 124-page book based on four hours of transcripts and PowerPoint slides. It was able to weave stories and examples from the different speakers in the transcripts throughout the book. I created the book, chapter by chapter, in about three or four hours. In contrast, if I had used ChatGPT, I would have had to go section by section to complete each chapter, and it probably would have taken dozens of hours. ChatGPT gives you bite-sized chunks very effectively, while Claude is better for long-form content.
That’s why it’s so important to use the right AI tool for the task. They all have different strengths and continually add news features.
NotebookLM
NotebookLM is one of Google’s more innovative tool options. It can take a transcript or speech and create content such as mind maps that you can click through and audio recordings that are essentially podcasts. The audio recordings have a male and female voice talking about whatever is in the transcript; all you have to do is upload it and click the audio overview button. Notebook will reformat the content into essentially a bulleted list with only the most important information, which the “podcasters” will “discuss”—they don’t just read the transcript.
Recently, Notebook added a video feature that pairs the audio recording with a slideshow of images. This could be a great option for marketing on YouTube.
Perplexity
Perplexity is great for compiling lists and specific facts. The best part is that it cites its sources, so you can see exactly where the information is coming from. This means that it isn’t going to generate fake facts or statistics like other LLMs sometimes do. It also provides a reputation score for each of the sources; something from mikestoolblog.com would have a much lower authority score compared to forbes.com or wallstreetjournal.com. It’s designed to find the most useful information on whatever topic you’re searching for and compile it into a list. It’s much more data-focused than ChatGPT or Claude.
Invideo
Invideo initally generated videos from stock photos. Now, it uses AI to create videos from a brand script. It takes longer to generate a video, but your creations aren’t limited by what photos already exist.
There will likely be some awkward moments or parts of the video that don’t look as good, but you can edit those out or even regenerate specific scenes you’re not happy with. It can generate a video in under 10 minutes, and then you’ll have a video to post on YouTube, your website service pages, or social media.
