MSP360 RMM 2.2 Now Automates Incident Response
MSP360, a backup and IT management software vendor, rolled out version 2.2 of the MSP360 RMM.
A key enhancement is the Alert Profiles feature, which enables MSPs to manage alerts across organizations and automatically trigger remediation actions in response to system issues. Unlike previous notification settings, the RMM applies Alert Profiles automatically based on scope. MSPs can configure these profiles at three levels: global, company, and computer.
Previously, MSP360 RMM could only detect and report issues. With the new version, MSPs can now act on an alert to resolve an issue. These actions include scripts execution, email notifications, push notifications, and ticket creation in a third-party PSA.
The execution of a script from the script library is the first remediation post-action now supported, offering a proactive approach to incident management. For example, when an alert is triggered for high disk space usage, the system can automatically execute a cleanup script.
MSPs can customize actions or access nearly 40 pre-built scripts in the RMM’s script library.
“This is a transformative moment for MSP360 RMM,” said Brian Helwig, CEO of MSP360, in a press statement. “We’ve evolved from passive monitoring to proactive incident response, fundamentally changing how our platform handles system alerts.”

Integrations & Partnerships
Stellar Cyber and Sophos Partner to Deliver Unified Threat Detection and Response
Stellar Cyber and Sophos are partnering to integrate Stellar Cyber’s Open XDR platform with Sophos Endpoint and Sophos Firewall, providing streamlined visibility across the security ecosystem for faster detection and response to emerging threats, according to the companies.
“Teaming up with Sophos underscores our commitment to delivering an open and unified platform that seamlessly integrates best-in-class security tools,” said Andrew Homer, vice president of strategic alliances at Stellar Cyber, in a press statement. “Sophos’ advanced threat protection capabilities, combined with Stellar Cyber’s centralized approach to security operations, empower organizations to simplify their defenses while significantly enhancing threat detection and response.”
The integration is available now.
CyberArk and SentinelOne Team Up to Boost Endpoint Threat Detection and Response Capabilities
Identity security company CyberArk announced a new integration with the SentinelOne Singularity Endpoint solution and the CyberArk Endpoint Privilege Manager. The aim is to provide a comprehensive security framework that accelerates threat identification and response with unified AI-enhanced security analytics.
The integration also brings new CyberArk identity data into SentinelOne Singularity for AI SIEM and XDR use cases, giving mutual customers greater context and correlation for threat detection and response, threat hunting, investigations, and automation.
“In a multi-cloud world, organizations are looking for new ways to secure identities and must prioritize implementing identity-centric endpoint security controls and system hardening to prevent cyberattackers from gaining a foothold,” said Clarence Hinton, chief strategy officer of CyberArk, in a press statement. “Through our integration with SentinelOne, we help customers detect and prevent downstream attacks, like privileged credential theft and ransomware. This collaboration uses the power of AI to bring together the complementary strengths of EDR and endpoint identity security, enhancing visibility and boosting defenses against attacks that compromise and exploit privileged access.”
TeamViewer Integrates with Google Meet
TeamViewer, a provider of remote connectivity and digital workplace solutions, now integrates with Google Meet, a workplace communication platform. The TeamViewer Remote Control add-on allows remote support sessions directly within a Google Meet meeting—no installation required. Supporters can connect instantly via their web browser, while end-users without TeamViewer can join through a quick, automatic download. This approach lets MSPs visually troubleshoot issues beyond traditional chat, VoIP, and video calls, simplifying problem resolution. Remote support sessions can be launched during live meetings, saving time and ensuring collaboration.
The TeamViewer add-on for Google Meet is now available via the Google Workspace Marketplace.

Got an Idea? 2025 PitchIT Is Taking Applications Until April 30
ConnectWise and IT Nation, a global community of peers, thought leaders, and experts, announced the launch of its 2025 PitchIT accelerator program, a worldwide competition dedicated to incubating growth among ConnectWise’s startup integration partners in the MSP space. Now in its seventh year, ConnectWise PitchIT has attracted over 150 participants, with this year’s competition set to be the largest yet.
Accepted applicants participate in a 16-week business transformation course, receiving mentorship from industry experts. Industry-leading judges, vendors, and podcasters evaluate their programs and choose three finalists. The finalists are paired with a dedicated coach to refine their pitch before presenting live at IT Nation Connect 2025, taking place in Orlando, Florida, in November.
There’s no cost to apply and no cost if accepted. ConnectWise is awarding $100,000 in grant award money to the top two finishers ($70,000 for 1st place, $30,000 for 2nd). Interested participants can submit applications online until April 30.

By the Numbers
Is the AI Juice Worth the $queeze Yet?
New Lenovo-commissioned research from IDC reveals that 42% of global organizations plan to devote a greater slice of their IT budgets—nearly triple compared to last year—to AI implementations. While approximately 9 out of 10 AI-adopting respondents, mostly IT professionals, say that AI has met their expectations, 37% of management remains skeptical about the ROI.
Still, IT leaders surveyed expect AI to account for nearly 20% of tech budgets in 2025, driven by accelerated adoption of Generative AI use cases. Only 11% of enterprises are currently using GenAI-powered applications today, but that number is expected to increase almost fourfold to 42% in the coming year, according to the research. IT operations, software development and marketing departments are expected to see the highest level of GenAI applications.
“AI is a marathon and a sprint – requiring parallel efforts to move quickly to modernize systems, while ensuring the future-proofing of tech stacks,” said Ken Wong, president, Solutions & Services Group, Lenovo, in a press statement. “Our research shows organizations need to simplify the design, deployment, and integration of AI solutions to demonstrate the impact of these investments. This will instill greater confidence and fuel future investments.”
Readiness Challenges
Respondents point to ethical issues and biases in AI and machine learning as the most complex or risky aspect of AI. Notably, more than half of global businesses do not have an AI governance, risk and compliance (GRC) policy in place. Other adoption challenges include training and upskilling staff, modernizing IT systems, and establish organizational processes to navigate the ethical and responsible use of AI tools.
The AI-nomics Report also underscores the importance of data quality in delivering successful AI implementation. Ensuring data sovereignty and compliance, and availability of quality data were cited as the most important factors in successful implementations, whereas AI failures are caused most often by data quality issues, IT costs and integrating AI with existing systems and processes. To this end, 33% of respondents said that their organizations will be developing data management capabilities in the next 12 months.
