JumpCloud Helps Partners Adapt to Change

In this episode of Partner Playbook, Tonya Gentry of MSP Success/Big Red Media chats with Antoine Jebara, JumpCloud co-founder and GM of channel, about the recently announced partner program and how it focuses on MSPs’ needs at every stage of growth. Jebara also talks about the importance of partner feedback, how JumpCloud is helping partners adapt to change, and what the vendor looks for in an MSP partner.

JumpCloud “streamlines the way MSPs. think about identity access and device management,” says Jebara. And now with their new partner program, JumpCloud is ready to serve MSPs with increased support at different stages in their journey as they scale.

“Essentially what we’re trying to do in designing this program is to look very deeply at our partners, their different stages of growth, and understand what their needs are at every one of these stages. And then we’ve created the appropriate benefit tiers for every stage of growth to support them.”

Jebara calls the partner program “a living organism. We’re going to keep enhancing it as we go.”

JumpCloud’s Open Directory Platform

JumpCloud’s unified open directory platform is designed to make it easy to securely manage identities, devices (Windows, Apple, Linux, and Android), and access across MSPs’ customer base. “Having all of it under one single pane of glass and not having to worry about any type of underlying operating system or the authentication protocol required, that’s really a life changer for MSPs,” Jebara says.

Last year, JumpCloud made several moves to enhance its platform.

in July, JumpCloud released Mobile Device Trust, enabling MSPs to limit user access to secure corporate-owned devices (COD) and users’ bring your own devices (BYOD), boosting a company’s security posture.

And earlier in the year, in March, the company acquired Resmo, an asset management and SaaS security solution for modern, cloud-native IT and SecOps teams. The acquisition broadens JumpCloud’s open directory platform to discover, manage, and control IT assets for secure and streamlined user provisioning, access request management, and utilization monitoring. Resmo’s integration into the JumpCloud platform offers MSPs an all-in-one solution to proactively meet emerging SaaS management, IT security, and asset management needs.

“Shadow IT is a big concern of both small and medium-sized businesses and the MSPs that they work with,” Jebara says. “Having good visibility and control over SaaS app usage has historically been challenging. So that’s the problem that we’ve set out to tackle and that we’ve now integrated into our products through the acquisition of that company and have released recently and are going to continue growing over the coming years. It’s one of the many, many things that we’re focusing on this year.”
