But what about your employees who are using AI in their jobs to save time—how are they spending those freed-up hours? A new study on the workforce of the future, which we cover in this week’s roundup, reveals how they’re using their time. We also have news from SentinelOne, LevelBlue, (keep an eye out for their new partner program coming next year), NUSO, ESET, and more. Plus, check out what new products you can find on the Pax8 Marketplace, and what MSPs are being acquired.

SentinelOne Builds On Autonomous SOC Vision
SentinelOne unveiled a suite of AI and automation features built on its Singularity cybersecurity platform, moving toward the company’s vision of an autonomous security operations center (SOC).
Introduced at SentinelOne’s OneCon 2024 conference in Las Vegas this week, the innovations include:
- Singularity Hyperautomation – A new intelligent automation solution that enables no-code automation of security workflows.
- Singularity AI SIEM – A cloud-native, no-index SIEM that ingests and synthesizes all data from across the security ecosystem.
- Purple AI – Automates alert triage, hunting, and investigations.
- SentinelOne’s Ultraviolet Family of Security Models– Large language models (LLMs) and multimodal models designed for cybersecurity AI use cases.
“The future of threat detection and response must keep up with the speed and sophistication of adversaries and the realities facing today’s already overstretched SOC teams,” said Ric Smith, president of product, technology, and operations at SentinelOne, in a press statement. “Today we’re making the promise of the autonomous SOC a reality by unleashing the full power of AI and data, to give customers the speed, intelligence, and scale needed to fend off tomorrow’s threats.”
Also at OneCon, SentinelOne announced an extension of its strategic collaboration agreement with Amazon Web Services. Under the terms of the agreement, Amazon Bedrock will power SentinelOne’s Purple AI cybersecurity analyst. Additionally, the expanded SCA will increase investments in SentinelOne’s AI-powered Singularity Platform within the AWS Marketplace.

AI Is Saving Employees’ Time – But How Are They Using Those Extra Hours?
The Adecco Group‘s annual Global Workforce of the Future survey of 35,000 workers in 27 leading economies found that workers using AI are saving an hour a day, on average. Notably, though, a fifth of users said the technology was saving them as many as 2 hours a day, and 5% are saving 3-4 hours each day. In tech, the research found that workers saved an average of 66 minutes a day.
What are workers doing with that extra time? Twenty-eight percent say they putting it toward more creative work, 26% say AI has allowed them to spend more time on strategic thinking, and 27% say AI has helped them achieve a better work/life balance.
Not all workers are using AI for productivity gains, however, with 23% of users saying that they were tackling the same workload and 21% said they are spending more time on personal activities.
And while 13% of workers said they have lost their job due to AI and 40% expressed concerns about long-term job security, 51% of workers agree that AI skills expand their job opportunities and 46% agree that AI has given them more opportunities to learn skills and progress in their jobs.
