CyberFOX announced a DNS filtering solution this week, making it the third solution in its cybersecurity portfolio alongside CyberFOX AutoElevate for privileged access management and CyberFOX Password Manager.
Built for MSPs and IT teams, CyberFOX DNS Filtering automatically blocks malicious websites, phishing attempts, and unwanted content. Features include AI pattern recognition to identify and categorize unknown malicious sites in real time; support for IPv6, which ensures scalability and compatibility with modern internet standards; real-time reporting and insights; customizable rules, and fast deployment. Introductory pricing is 25 cents per agent.
Building Out a CyberFOX Platform
CyberFOX CEO David Bellini tells MSP Success it’s the latest move to build out a cybersecurity suite around the CIS Critical Security Controls (CIS Controls). Bellini, who co-founded ConnectWise with his brother Arnie, which they sold to Thoma Bravo in 2019, acquired Password Boss in 2020 with a group of investors and took on the CEO role. They later acquired AutoElevate in August 2021 and relaunched the company as CyberFOX in 2022. Today the company has 120 employees.

In June of this year, the company announced it had achieved ISO 27001:2022 certification.
Bellini says CyberFOX is on the lookout for potential acquisitions for its platform. “We’re looking for other software security products and companies to buy, and we’re doing a rollup under the CyberFOX name.”
The company has also announced a number of strategic partnerships this year. These include reseller agreements with MSP Process, provider of end-user and technician two-way verification solutions, and MDR platform company Blackpoint Cyber. CyberFOX also announced integrations partnerships with Apple MDM solution provider Addigy and RMM/PSA provider Syncro.
But rather than buy or partner for DNS filtering, Bellini says they decided to build it internally. CyberFOX DNS Filtering has been under development for three years, Bellini says, and it’s something MSP partners have been asking for. “We wanted to build this solution because we wanted to put the artificial intelligence piece on it. We felt like we could do a better job than anyone else out there,” he says.
How CyberFOX Plans to Differentiate
With so many cybersecurity solution providers all moving toward platform plays, MSP Success asked Bellini how CyberFOX plans to differentiate.
“The suite is really meant to be 80% of the features for 90% of the discount,” he says. “So we’re 80% of the big guys’ features, the CyberArks, the BeyondTrusts. But 90% of the discount cost of what it is, and I think that’s the formula that’s successful for an SMB.”
SMBs also need “elegant, easy to use” products, and he believes CyberFOX delivers on that
Bellini acknowledges that CyberFOX still has work to do on the integration side. The three solutions have the same look and feel, he says, but are not yet fully integrated. And a management dashboard is planned as well.
“Our value-add is going to be our price point by far. We’re already having success with that.”
