With this weekend’s Powerball jackpot nearing $2 billion, it’s tempting to pony up $2 and take a chance, even though you know the odds aren’t exactly in your favor (one in 292 million, to be exact!) While you can’t control lottery numbers, you can stack the odds in your favor by staying on top of the latest tools, integrations, partnerships, and people moves from around the channel. Because we know MSPs can’t afford to leave their clients’ business outcomes to luck.
Happy reading (no lottery ticket required).

Veeam Launches Its First Software Appliance
Data resilience vendor Veeam Software announced its first fully pre-built, pre-hardened Veeam Software Appliance, aimed at eliminating the friction of manual setup, OS patching, and Windows licensing. The hardware-agnostic solution lets customers deploy on their infrastructure of choice—physical, virtual, or cloud.
Delivered as a bootable ISO or virtual appliance, the Veeam Software Appliance is based on a hardened, Veeam-managed Linux-based “Just Enough OS” (JeOS), optimized to security best practices and maintained.
“Our Veeam Software Appliance enables fast, secure, pre-configured data protection for every organization,” said Anand Eswaran, CEO at Veeam, in a press statement. “Whether you’re deploying a new data resilience strategy or expanding protection to new locations, our pre-hardened, Linux-based solution delivers instant protection and reduces ongoing management headaches, without compromising on security or flexibility.”
Features include built-in immutability, zero trust access controls, automated patching, instant recovery to Azure, and a modern web UI with SAML single sign-on. According to Veeam, it’s ideal for new deployments, edge sites, and teams that need fast, secure backup without infrastructure headaches.
Veeam Software Appliance is available globally as an early release.
Addigy Launches Security Suite with SentinelOne
Addigy, an Apple device management provider, announced Addigy Security Suite, which integrates Addigy remote macOS management with SentinelOne MDR and EDR for single-pane Apple security.
“With this release, Apple devices are no longer a security blind spot,” said Jason Dettbarn, Addigy founder and CTO, in a press statement. “Addigy is empowering IT teams and MSPs with the only fully integrated, sure-fire security solution that covers compliance, access control, EDR, and MDR—all purpose-built for the Apple ecosystem. They get the industry’s most comprehensive, best-in-class capabilities while eliminating the time organizations simply can’t devote and the hassles they don’t need or want.”
In addition to SentinelOne EDR natively available within the Addigy console and 24/7 MDR, the suite includes: Addigy macOS conditional access to enforce zero trust policies based on device posture; Addigy automated compliance remediation with self-healing policies to ensure ongoing enforcement of encryption, firewall, and OS version standards; and Addigy audit dashboards and exportable reports to meet frameworks like SOC 2, CIS, and NIST.
For MSPs, this integrated suite enables Apple security-as-a-service offerings that scale across multi-tenant environments—with white-labeled compliance reporting, client-friendly dashboards, and zero need for an in-house SOC—according to Addigy.
The Addigy Security Suite is available now.
Partnerships & Integrations
Sophos Endpoint Now Integrated with Taegis MDR and XDR
Cybersecurity vendor Sophos announced that Sophos Endpoint is now natively integrated and automatically included in all Taegis extended detection and response (XDR) and Taegis managed detection and response (MDR) subscriptions. Now, customers can download, install, and manage Sophos Endpoint directly from Taegis.
The integration follows Sophos’ acquisition of Secureworks and its Taegis platform in February 2025. According to Sophos, Taegis remains a fully open platform.
Customers can now choose between three deployment options for endpoint protection:
- Sophos Endpoint: Natively integrated for comprehensive prevention, detection, and response in a single agent.
- Non-Sophos native integrations: Telemetry ingestion ensures full visibility from products such as CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, SentinelOne and Carbon Black by Broadcom.
- Other non-Sophos endpoint security solutions: Supported through a detection only sensor deployment option.
“This integration expands the value and flexibility we deliver to customers and partners,” said Chris Bell, Sophos senior vice president of global channel, alliances, and corporate development, in a press statement. “By including Sophos Endpoint in Taegis, organizations gain stronger protection, reduced costs, and simplified operations. For partners, it creates new opportunities to help customers consolidate tools, drive renewals, and expand enterprise relationships.”
Sophos Endpoint is available immediately for all existing and new Taegis XDR and MDR customers.

AI-Driven Social Engineering Attacks Are Outpacing Cyber Defenses
New research from Level Blue finds that nearly 40% of organizations are underprepared for AI-driven threats such as automated attacks, deepfake-based videos, and voice scams.
Level Blue’s just released Data Accelerator: Social Engineering and the Human Element does find a growing awareness of social engineering threats, with 41% of organizations reporting a significantly higher volume of cyberattacks compared to 12 months ago.
However, while 44% believe that an AI-powered attack is likely to occur within the next 12 months, only 29% are prepared for one, and just 20% of organizations describe themselves as highly effective in their ability to defend against cyber adversaries that are using AI techniques.
A key challenge in defending against social engineering attacks is employee awareness and preparedness. Indeed, 59% of respondents report an increasing difficulty for employees to discern real from not real. Despite this, just 32% have enlisted training and awareness experts to help educate the workforce on social engineering attacks over the past 12 months.
In addition, while resondents say defending against social engineering attacks is a priority, just 24% say they are highly effective at implementing and using AI to enhance cybersecurity, and just 13% are investing significantly in Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA).
In response to these findings, LevelBlue recommends organizations take four steps:
- Increase leadership engagement to build cyber resilience into the organization’s culture
- Implement regular cybersecurity training programs to keep employees updated on emerging threats and best practices
- Evaluate investments to prepare for human-related threats while maintaining focus on more traditional attack types
- Engage external providers to enhance cybersecurity measures.
MSPs, consider leveraging these bullet points in your next QBR.
