Field Effect’s MDR Recipe for MSPs: Streamline Security, Reduce the Noise

Field Effect’s MDR platform, purpose-built for MSPs and small and medium businesses, is designed to provide clarity and visibility “instead of noise,” says Marty Landry, the company’s vice president of sales.

Founded in 2016, Field Effect is an all-in-one platform for endpoint, network, and cloud security, with a 24/7 security operations center. “Ultimately, we allow them to consolidate tools, really streamline the cybersecurity operation, and drive better margins,” Landry says.

At the end of last year, the company introduced MDR Core, a complement to its flagship MDR Complete solution inspired by its MSP partners. MDR Core provides essential cloud monitoring and endpoint detection and response capabilities for businesses with less IT complexity. In contrast, MDR Complete offers comprehensive risk management and protection across endpoints, networks, and cloud services, ideal for larger businesses or ones with more complex needs. Seeking True MSP Partners

In this episode of Partner Playbook with Tonya Gentry of MSP Success/Big Red Media, Landry explains that the cybersecurity company is seeking MSPs who want a true partnership, not just a vendor relationship. “We want collaboration. We want feedback. Almost all of our roadmap items are strictly driven by partner feedback and things that our partners are telling us. The product is constantly evolving because we own all that technology. It allows us to be very nimble. So it’s all based on that feedback, and we are looking for partners, of course, that care about their clients, care about their protection, and are ultimately looking to grow.”

Landry also details all the marketing and sales enablement assets MSP partners have at their disposal with Field Effect, and stresses that the most successful partners are the ones who lean into those resources. In addition, he talks about what MSPs can expect on the roadmap, including enhanced reporting.
