Auvik Rolls Out SaaS Automation and Endpoint Network Visibility Capabilities

Auvik this week announced new SaaS automation and license optimization capabilities within its SaaS Management solution. The vendor also rolled out new Endpoint Network Monitoring that allows MSPs teams to support their clients’ hybrid and remote employees anywhere they are working.

SaaS Management

The SaaS automation and license management builds on the SaaS discovery and monitoring capabilities Auvik acquired with Saaslio in 2022. The new features reflect two areas that MSPs were asking for, Glenn Gray, Auvik’s director of product marketing, tells MSP Success.

In conversations with MSP partners, “one of the two things that came up over and over were, “We have SaaS licenses that are provisioned for end users that never get used or they’re provisioned for end users that no longer work for a company, and we want to be able to optimize costs by making sure that there is good utilization of the SaaS application,’” Gray says.

Glenn Gray

The second concern was the time-consuming nature of onboarding and offboarding SaaS users. “Effectively what we’ve built is a way to automate the onboarding and offboarding and provisioning of SaaS applications,” Gray notes.

He adds, “The rough math that we’ve done on this so far indicates that it can save, for an average-size MSP, hundreds of hours per month of work deprovisioning and provisioning.”

Endpoint Network Monitoring

Designed to improve the end-user experience on Windows and Mac OS devices, Auvik’s Endpoint Network Monitoring solution complements RMMs, Gray says. With remote workers, who may be in a coffee shop, an airport, or on their back porch at home, Endpoint Network Monitoring provides “a view into what’s happening on infrastructure that is no longer owned by the MSP.” The solution also enables visibility into that user’s connectivity history for troubleshooting. Future iterations will include end-user health scores, he notes.

In addition, Auvik announced Expanded Server Monitoring capabilities to provide deeper visibility into Windows server environments. Gray says this is more targeted at corporate IT, though some MSPs may want to utilize the capabilities.

Pricing for Auvik Endpoint Network Monitoring is $1.00 per agent, Gray says. There is no additional charge for the SaaS automation and license management features.

Coro’s New GM Joe Sykora Aims to Make the Company 100% Channel and Easier to Do Business With

Coro, a modular cybersecurity platform designed for small and midsize businesses, appointed channel veteran Joe Sykora as its first GM of The Americas, a new executive position for the company. Sykora tells MSP Success he is tasked with accelerating Coro’s channel-first strategy.

Joe Sykora

“I started talking to Coro at the beginning of the year and made the decision to come over here and help them build the new rocket ship,” say Sykora. Previously, he was senior vice president of worldwide channels and partner sales at Proofpoint. Before that, he held channel leadership positions with Bitdefender and Fortinet.

The Coro “rocket ship” includes being named in 2024 to the Fortune Cyber 60 list of the fastest-growing companies in cybersecurity for the second year in a row. It also ranked No. 51 on the 2024 Deloitte Technology Fast 500 list of fastest-growing companies, the second year in a row earning a spot on the list. Fueling that rocket ship is $100 million in Series D funding, which Coro received in March 2024.

Making It Easy and Profitable to Partner with Coro

First order of business for Sykora is “refining [Coro’s] routes to market and making sure that we’re supporting the channel. How do our MSP channel partners like to consume the technology? So [we’ll be] simplifying the programs, simplifying offerings, making sure we’re priced competitively, and more importantly, making sure [MSPs] have protected margin to do business with us.”

He adds, “The top priority for me is making sure doing business with Coro is easy and profitable.”

To help with the simplification of fulfillment, invoicing, etc., Sykora says he will be moving Coro to a two-tier distribution model. Next week he plans to start meeting with distributors and cloud marketplaces.

Sykora says Coro will also be forming an MSP partner council and making enhancements to its partner program, which he says the company will be announcing next week. Those will include resources such as Coro University and market development funds (MDF).

He says to expect more integration with the big RMM players too. Currently Coro integrates with ConnectWise.

Looking ahead, Sykora says, “We’ll be strengthening partnerships and making sure that we protect all of our partners and make sure it’s a very predictable revenue stream for them.”

Ransomware Powered by AI Grows Increasingly Dangerous – And There’s a Preparedness Gap

Ivanti, an IT service management provider, recently released the 2025 State of Cybersecurity Report: Paradigm Shift, which surveyed over 2,400 cybersecurity professionals and executives.

The research shows that ransomware is the top predicted threat for 2025. This is especially concerning given that more than 1 in 3 (38%) security professionals say ransomware will become even more dangerous when powered by AI. In comparison to the threat level, only 29% of security professionals say they are very prepared for ransomware attacks—leaving a significant gap in preparedness (29%).

Ivanti’s research identifies several key findings:

  • Assessing Risk Tolerance: Even though 83% of security teams claim to have a documented framework for identifying risk tolerance, just over half (51%) of these individuals state that their current framework is not closely followed, rendering it nearly as ineffective as not having a framework at all.
  • Tackling Tech Debt Concerns: Among security and leadership professionals, 1 in 3 say tech debt is a serious concern, which compromises security posture and hampers growth and innovation. For instance, 37% say they can’t uphold basic security practices, and 43% say their systems are more susceptible to security breaches due to accumulated tech debt.
  • Data Silo Damages: Most organizations continue to operate in silos, leading to significant data blind spots—areas with insufficient data to make informed security decisions—which challenges managing security risks. For instance, 62% of respondents claim silos slow security response times and 53% note weakened security postures.
