Bitwarden’s MSP partners increased their total managed seats by 97% year-over-year last year, and the password management company wants to continue accelerating that trend with the new partner program enhancements it recently introduced. The new features are all designed to make it easier for MSPs to do business with Bitwarden, according to Jon Maurer, channel sales director. “2024 was a monumental year for us, for the MSP program,” he says. “We’re building [on] that buzz and the excitement around our MSP program.”
Introduced in February, the new partner program features include a Partner of the Quarter program, not-for-resale (NFR) licenses, a flexible licensing model that removes minimum license requirements and offers a seat-based billing structure, and a new dedicated partner presence in Europe.
In addition, Bitwarden has added new product features geared toward how MSPs work. These include a multitenant management portal where MSPs can provision, monitor, and manage multiple client organizations from a single dashboard with granular role-based controls and oversight. The vendor has also simplified subscription and seat management, so MSPs can easily monitor and manage client seats at a glance.
In this latest edition of Partner Playbook, Maurer tells Tonya Gentry of Big Red Media/MSP Success how Bitwarden is working to meet partners where they’re at, what they have in the works to better support and enable MSPs, and what they look for in a successful partnership.
