ConnectWise today announced a new SaaS security solution and enhancements to its RMM and robotic process automation (RPA) solutions, plus the company is now including ConnectWise Security360 and ConnectWise Backup360 at no additional cost with the Asio platform. The company made the announcements at IT Nation Europe, taking place through tomorrow at the Hilton London Metropole.
New ConnectWise RMM features include advanced, automated patch management, built-in patch assessment, and testing for all OS security updates, supported by the ConnectWise NOC team’s expertise. MSPs teams receive expert review of OS security patches. Earlier enhancements included an expansion of third-party patching titles, covering 10 times more applications than last year, with plans to add additional titles and extend these capabilities to Automate. ConnectWise RMM partners also gain immediate access to the library of more than 1,200 intelligent alerts to identify and automatically resolve issues detected.
Powered by the ConnectWise Asio platform, ConnectWise RPA is introducing new, out-of-the-box workflow rules inspired by power users, such as the Onboarding Digital Worker, a workflow focused on automating the creation of end-user accounts in Microsoft Office 365.
New ConnectWise SaaS Security
The new ConnectWise SaaS Security is purpose-built for MSPs to manage and monetize Microsoft 365 security services, according to the company.
The solution debuts with two core functions. Security Manager leverages Microsoft Graph API and other sources to identify security risks and vulnerabilities across all of an MSP’s SMB customers. It also features automated remediation of security alerts and the ability to scale to ensure compliance. In addition, no-code customization enables MSPs to adapt and automate security workflows to meet specific customer needs.
The second function, Security Navigator, includes ready-to-use reports and dashboards to provide insights into an MSP customer’s security scores, benchmarking, and compliance, along with automated reporting.
ConnectWise Security360 and ConnectWise Backup360
Finally, ConnectWise is now including ConnectWise Security360 and ConnectWise Backup360 at additional cost with the Asio platform.
“MSPs need solutions that reduce complexity while delivering enterprise-grade security and backup capabilities,” said David Raissipour, chief product and technology officer at ConnectWise, in a press statement. “By including Security360 and Backup360 with Asio, we’re making it easier and more cost-effective for MSPs to safeguard their clients’ businesses while increasing operational efficiency.”
Re-Org Has Been Underway
ConnectWise CEO Manny Rivelo, who replaced former CEO Jason Magee and officially took the reins at IT Nation Connect last November, said at the fall event that he planned to move fast to create value, including bringing the Asio platform, which has been underway for several years, to full fruition. Asio is ConnectWise’s modern, unified platform for MSPs to manage cybersecurity, backup, RMM, and IT automation. (Magee recently joined Cynet as CEO.)
Since Rivelo’s arrival, there’s been some reorganization underway. CTO/CPO Raissipour took over as CTO from Raghu Bongula, one of several key executives who departed the company in February. Other notable departures at that time included Jake Varghese, EVP and GM; Ameer Karim, EVP and GM, cybersecurity and data protection; and Rafael Marty, SVP of product management. And ConnectWise promoted Jeff Bishop from chief product officer to EVP of product management. Gregg Lalle, formerly SVP and GM, IT Nation, also departed in February.
And earlier this month. ConnectWise announced a new Partner Communities business unit that integrates three ConnectWise programs, IT Nation, Service Leadership, and Partner Advisory Councils (PACs). Peter Kujawa is now leading this initiative as EVP of Service Leadership and IT Nation, reporting directly to Rivelo. Previously, Kujawa was VP and GM of Service Leadership. ConnectWise also launched a refreshed website dedicated to its partner communities, creating a central hub for information, resources, and connection.
