MSP Success Peer Q4 recap

MSP owners and leaders gathered for the Q4 2026 MSP Success Peer meetings in late October. MSP Success TruPeer met October 19-22 in Orlando, Fla., and MSP Success Producers Club met October 21-22 in Franklin, Tenn. Each event was filled with workshops and presentations on growing your business, improving customer experience, taking advantage of AI and getting the most from programs such as SMART Numbers.

Here’s a recap of what happened at both events.

MSP Success TruPeer Meetings

Boardroom breakouts

Closed-door peer sessions focused on profit margins, EBITDA targets and the health of recurring revenue. MSP Success TruPeer Q4 sessions also included year-end financial reviews and planning for the year ahead.

AI Co-Lab

Members shared how they use AI for level 1 ticket intake, real-time client status updates and documentation. Panelists led discussions and walkthroughs of emerging diagnostic tools that merge automatic workflows while keeping technicians in the loop. They also urged MSPs to stop selling AI as a feature and package it around risk reduction and business outcomes.

Steal my AI-dea contest

During the AI Co-Lab, Ahmed Mahmood, Chad Reinbold and Josh Abbott presented how they use AI to better serve clients. Their fellow MSPs voted on who had the most groundbreaking idea, and Chad Reinbold took the 2026 title.

Women in Tech luncheon

The October 20 luncheon gave women leaders in the channel a forum to discuss mentorship, confidence building and career growth.

Rania Succar in Orlando

On Day 2, Kaseya CEO Rania Succar spoke about the responsibility MSPs carry as the IT backbone for small businesses. She praised the peer community Gary Pica built with TruMethods and MSP Success.

Pica and Briden’s final TruPeer

This was the final TruPeer event for Gary Pica and Peter Briden before they moved on to new opportunities.

The next MSP Success TruPeer meeting will take place January 19-21, 2027, in Orlando, Fla.

MSP Success Producers Club

Making QBRs repeatable workshop with Robin Robins

Robin Robins led a two-part workshop on preparing quarterly business reviews (QBRs). The panelists discussed how account managers use AI and tools to pull data, how they approach difficult conversations and whether cybersecurity compliance belongs in every standard service stack.

Creating content that buyers search for

Mike Stodola showed MSPs how to turn one article about the buyer’s business, not MSP services, into a blog, a LinkedIn article and three social media posts. He cited a 2026 Meltwater and LinkedIn study finding that 75% of LinkedIn citations came from individual profiles.

Golden Cone awards

Robb Patterson hosted the 2026 Golden Cone awards, which highlight members who actively share immediate, actionable marketing ideas and processes that help their peers grow their businesses. Matt Rose, Laurie Swihart, Sabrina Jablonski, JR Bareis, Victor Magan and Mike Clemmons discussed what’s working in culture, local content, hiring and AI-driven client relationships.

How to leverage SMART Numbers

Peer success manager Maryanne Lucks led a presentation on using SMART Numbers for your MSP. The session used a “should I hire a tech?” scenario to show why MSPs should review support desk leverage, ticket volume and resolution time before adding headcount.

Margin and MRR without new customers

Paul Cissel and Kevin Bozung of Growth Caddie outlined a five-phase ABCD process for ranking customers by profitability and repricing to lift margin. They cited best-in-class service gross margin of 49.9% vs. a 43.0% average.

A conversation with Will Guidara on unreasonable hospitality

Robin Robins sat down with Will Guidara, author of Unreasonable Hospitality, who argued that investing in human connection creates a lasting competitive advantage. His challenge for MSPs: Improve one overlooked client touchpoint and build a gracious, repeatable response to one recurring moment.

The next MSP Success Producers Club will take place February 11-13, 2027, in San Diego, Calif.
