There’s something Syncro Channel Chief Andy Cormier, who was promoted to that position in November, wants MSPs to know: “We understand the business of being an MSP, not simply the business of being a technician.” Overseeing the Syncro marketplace and expanding integration partnerships will be a key focus for Cormier.
Founded in 2011, Syncro was built by MSPs for MSPs and is an all-in-one RMM/PSA and remote access platform. “We’re doing things in a way that just makes sense for the MSP without all of that legacy complexity attached to it.,” Cormier says.
Since the appointment of industry veteran Michael George as CEO last February, the company has rolled out its AI-based Smart Ticket Management solution, which it enhanced with a Ticket Sentiment Analysis feature in November. The company also brought George’s former Continuum colleague Dee Zepf on board as chief product officer.
Before taking over the role of channel chief from Tim Lasonde, Cormier headed up partner development at Syncro. He is also the author of So You Want To Be An MSP, a book that offers actionable insights for MSPs to thrive in a sales-driven rather than a purely technical model.
In this conversation with Tonya Gentry, chief sales officer of Big Red Media and MSP Success, Cormier reveals plans to make Syncro “much more of a central hub,” provides a sneak peek at what’s up next in the roadmap that will be offered free of charge—something that will differentiate Syncro from competitors, Cormier says—and other initiatives meant to drive profitability and efficiencies into MSPs’ businesses.
